GENERAL CONTRACTORS AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS
Hutcherson Construction, Inc. was founded in April 1979 by Jim and Shirley Hutcherson and is headquartered in Arlington, Texas. After graduating from Texas Tech with a degree in architecture and civil engineering, Jim worked as an architect for the construction division of The Zales Corporation in Dallas. His next stop was as a construction project manager for The Law Company in Wichita, Kansas. There he supervised construction of multi-million dollar regional malls. In 1979 he and his wife Shirley desired to return to their native Texas, that's when they  founded Hutcherson Construction Inc. Jim's varied experience and expertise led to working with companies such as General Telephone, SBC, 7-Eleven, McDonalds, Jack-in-the-Box, Zales, J.C. Penney, and Arlington Memorial Hospital.
During the 1990's the direction of our firm had settled into the specialized niche in the telecommunication and
medical industries. The sensitive environments and complex mechanical and electrical systems found in these facilities was a good match for a company that prided itself on well managed and well supervised projects. During this period the leadership was passed down with the retirement of Jim & Shirley Hutcherson in June 1996.
Currently Hutcherson Construction, Inc. is performing not only with the same character and ideals that were created early on but also with an expanded client list that includes Capital One, Hibernia Banks, AT&T, Verizon, JPS, Huguley Medical Center, Kindred Healthcare, Methodist Health Systems, and YMCA. We are currently in our third decade of operation with the company now run by the next generation being, J. Hutcherson, his sister Kellie Coffee and third generation Tyler Horn.
